Privacy Policy

Effective: October 27, 2026

ConsoleMacros PX ("the App") is published by Sigma Research Inc. o/a AdaptivePlay ("the Company"). This Privacy Policy applies to all versions of the App. References to the "Android App" refer exclusively to the App versions distributed through the Google Play Store or other related channels. References to the "iOS App" refer exclusively to the App versions distributed through the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy describes what information the App collects, how that information is used, and with whom it is shared. All App data, including macros, settings, and console pairing details, remains on your device. Anonymous crash reports and usage analytics are collected through Google Firebase, as described under Third-Party Services.

Information Collection and Use

The App does not collect personally identifiable information and does not require account creation. All content created in the App is stored locally on the device, as described under Local Data Storage. It is never transmitted to the Company and is never shared with any third party. The only information that leaves the device is anonymous diagnostic and usage data described under Third-Party Services.

PlayStation Network Authentication

To connect to your PlayStation console, the App may direct you to sign in through Sony's official PlayStation Network authentication page. Your PSN email and password are entered directly on Sony's page and are not accessed or stored by the App. Sony returns your PSN username and account ID, which are stored only on your device and used solely to pair with and connect to your console. You may also enter your account ID manually without signing in through Sony.

Permissions

The App uses the following device permissions, all of which are used solely for core App functionality:

  • Microphone. Used to capture audio and transmit it to your PlayStation console during a Remote Play session over your local network. Audio is not recorded, stored, or transmitted externally.
  • Notifications (Android App). Used to display a status bar notification while the App is connected to your console. Optional on Android 13 and higher, where the App requests it only when you enable the setting.
  • Foreground Service (Android App). Used to maintain the connection to your PlayStation console while the App is in the background. Granted at install time; no prompt is shown.
  • Local Network (iOS App). Used to discover and connect to your PlayStation console over your local Wi-Fi network. Requested the first time you discover a console, add one by IP address, pair, or connect. Not requested at launch.
  • Background Audio (iOS App). Used to keep game audio playing, and any running macro active, while the App is in the background during a Remote Play session. No prompt is shown.

Device Access

The App accesses the following device capabilities as part of normal operation:

  • Local Network. Used to discover and communicate with your PlayStation console over your local Wi-Fi network.
  • USB/Bluetooth Controllers. Used to read input from connected controllers. Input data is processed locally and sent to your PlayStation console over your local network.
  • Live Activity (iOS App). While connected to your PlayStation console during a Remote Play session, the App will show a Live Activity on your Lock Screen, and in the Dynamic Island, displaying the console name and connection status with a button to disconnect.

Local Data Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Controller input settings (deadzones, clamp values, inversions, axis swaps)
  • Button mappings
  • Trigger configurations for macros, record, playback and global settings
  • Saved macros, their configurations, and the folders they are organised into
  • Captured images used for image triggers
  • Console details, including name, IP address, and the pairing keys returned by the console
  • PSN username and account ID
  • General app settings

Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services provided by Google:

  • Firebase Crashlytics. Collects anonymous crash reports including device model, operating system version, and crash stack traces. No personally identifiable information is included.
  • Firebase Analytics. Collects anonymous usage data such as session duration, feature usage, and in-app interactions. This data is used solely for product analytics. Firebase assigns the installation a randomly generated identifier that is not linked to you and is reset if you reinstall the App.
  • AdMob (Android App only). Serves rewarded video ads to free tier users who choose to watch them in exchange for additional console connection time. AdMob may receive your device's Advertising ID and basic device information to deliver and measure ads. In regions where consent is required (such as the EEA and UK), the App displays a consent form before the first ad request, and your choice can be changed at any time via About → Ad Preferences within the App. Pro users see no ads.

For more information on how Google processes this data, see Google's privacy policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your App data is stored locally on your device and is retained until you choose to delete it. You can delete individual data at any time within the App, including saved macros, paired consoles, and PSN accounts. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.

The anonymous diagnostic and usage data described under Third-Party Services is held by Google and subject to Google's retention policies. It is not linked to you or to any account, so individual records cannot be identified or retrieved.

Security

Communication between the App and your PlayStation console is encrypted using industry standard cryptographic protocols. The keys used to pair with your console are stored only on your device. The anonymous diagnostic and usage data described under Third-Party Services is transmitted over an encrypted connection.

Children's Privacy

The App is a general audience app and is not specifically targeted at children under the age of 13. The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
